A little glimpse...

Okay, here are a couple of photos to give you a tiny glimpse of my latest painting! This one is a little different than what I usually do...which made it a lot of fun to create! I am donating it to the Birmingham Children's Theater, and the theme of the event is "A Night in Oz." So I tried to incorporate a little bit of the theme into the painting. Can't wait to show you all the rest tomorrow!

Today is a very big day in the Where’s Wenda? Contest. I am visiting all of the SITS followers. Can I do it? There are around 1000 followers. Oh my! Better grab my cup of coffee and get on my way. Be sure to visit Hot Chocolate Caramel Mocha and Three Bay B Chicks as part of your contest entry.

Hi! I'm a fellow Birmingham girl. I recently found your blog and enjoy seeing your projects. One thing I'm dying to know--how do you paint such PERFECT circles? I'm amazed. Some insight would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Hi Elizabeth! Well, what I try to do is act like I am drawing a circle with the paint brush, and I just kind of paint in circular motion over and over. Then, I usually go over the circles with a little more paint a few more times to smooth out any edges. Another trick is, I take the background paint color and go around the outside of the circle to clean up any mistakes! Hope this helps!

Thanks! I'm a novice painter...maybe with some practice I'll get the hang of it! By the way, I just saw the finished product and it's so cute! Great job. Thanks again.
